Multiple Revenue Channels Across the Day

The King Mediterrano franchise model is designed with several service channels that may support diversified sales activity throughout the day:

Why Breakfast Matters

Breakfast represents an additional daypart that some operators find valuable. Offering morning service may expand operating hours, attract different customer segments, and increase opportunities for daily transactions.

Three Franchise Formats

King Mediterrano offers three franchise structures to accommodate different operator goals:

1. Full Restaurant

A dine‑in, takeout, and delivery format offering the full menu.

Estimated Initial Investment: $343,000 – $580,000* See FDD issued March 2, 2026, Item 7.

2. King Mediterrano Express (Cloud/Ghost Kitchen)

A kitchen‑only model focuses on delivery and digital ordering. Estimated Initial Investment: $128,600 – $182,700* See FDD issued March 2, 2026, Item 7.

3. Area Development Franchise

A multi‑unit development structure allowing franchisees to open multiple Full Restaurant locations within a defined territory. Example: 3‑Unit Development Estimated Initial Investment: $373,000 – $610,000* See FDD issued March 2, 2026, Item 7.

Royalty Structure

King Mediterrano provides a four‑month royalty holiday for new franchisees. After this period:

Full Restaurant: $1,500/month minimum or 5% of gross sales (whichever is greater)
Express: $1,000/month minimum or 5% of gross sales (whichever is greater)

Royalties are collected monthly.

Revenue Exclusions

Certain deductions apply when calculating gross revenues for royalty purposes, including:

Credit card fees
Employee meal discounts
Loyalty reward redemptions
Corporate promotional discounts
Gift card deferred revenue
Third‑party delivery commissions
First‑party delivery subsidies
Refunds, voids, and remakes

Third‑Party Delivery Overview

The company‑owned King Mediterrano restaurant in Torrance, California utilizes multiple third‑party delivery platforms. The following information reflects the performance of that single affiliate location and is provided as part of the Financial Performance Representation disclosed in Item 19 of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). issued March 2, 2026*

UberEATS: $128,624.10

2025 Delivery Breakdown

DoorDash: $217,015.14
UberEATS: $136,536.95
Grubhub: $29,726.16

Delivery represented approximately 32% of total sales in 2024 and approximately 38% of total sales in 2025 at this company‑owned location. These figures reflect only the performance of the Torrance restaurant. Franchisee results will vary.

Delivery Commission Information

The Torrance location pays commission rates to third‑party delivery vendors based on the packages selected:

DoorDash: 30% (premium visibility package)
UberEATS: 18%
Grubhub: 20%

Commission rates vary by market, vendor, and negotiated terms. Franchisees independently select their vendors, commission tiers, and service packages. King Mediterrano does not guarantee any specific commission rate or vendor terms.

Third‑Party Delivery Commission Exclusion Example The following example is provided solely to illustrate how third‑party delivery commissions are treated when calculating royalties under the King Mediterrano franchise model. Scenario Overview

A customer places a $100 third‑party delivery order. The example compares how royalties may be calculated under two different approaches:

A franchisor that calculates royalties on the full $100.
King Mediterrano, which excludes the third‑party delivery commission from the royalty base.

Training & Support

King Mediterrano provides structured training programs:

Full Restaurant Training

Approximately 68 hours over 10–14 days.

King Mediterrano Express Training

Approximately 54 hours over 8–10 days.

On‑Site Support

Included as part of the initial franchise fee:

Full Restaurant: 3 days before opening + 3 days after.
Express: ½–1 day before opening + 1 day after.
Additional support is available for a fee. See FDD issued March 2, 2026 for details.

Territory Protection

Franchisees receive a defined geographic territory, typically a 3‑mile radius measured using straight‑line GPS mapping. As long as the franchisee remains in good standing, King Mediterrano will not establish another franchised or corporate location within that territory.

Cloud Kitchen units are not placed inside another franchisee’s territory.

System Standards and Support

The franchise system provides:

Operational guidance.
Brand standards.
Defined territory structure.
Training and onboarding.
Monthly royalty reporting procedures.
Technology and system requirements.
Inventory guidance.

Franchisees are responsible for the daily operation, staffing, financial management, and compliance of their business with all applicable laws.
